The surface material significantly impacts the feel, performance, and portability of your game mat. Smooth surfaces, like our silky smooth polyester, enable easy card movement and are highly portable, as they can be rolled and folded without cracking or peeling. This makes them the ideal material for TCG playmats such as Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Flesh and Blood. Additionally, fabric mats can absorb spills, protect furniture, and are even machine washable. While we do offer a textured laminate surface on our mats, we do not recommend it due to its lack of portability, which can cause the mat to crease during transport, limiting the ease of movements necessary for CCG gameplay.
