Water resistance is crucial for custom counter mats as it shields them from spills and moisture, ensuring longevity and a clean branding appearance. We print all of our heavy duty retail mats on a synthetic, tree-free paper that won't separate or peel with use or moisture. If counter mats are manufactured on standard paper they will start to separate creating peeling and separation from the laminate cutting their lifespan down considerably. Mats like the 18x24x1/8 and 12x18x1/8 are water-resistant, making them ideal for spill-prone environments. While our fabric counter mats are not water resistant they do have a dye sublimated surface that can be machine washed without cracking or bleeding meaning they too can catch a spill without ruining the mat. Better brand appearance and longer product performance make water resistance key in deciding which way to go in choosing your counter mat.
