We’ve provided several answers to questions related to Fabric Counter Mats , see some other helpful Q&A related to this product.
Question: What is the best surface material for fabric counter mats?
Answer: The surface material of fabric counter mats is crucial for comfort and durability. Smooth polyester fabric is what we use due to its silky soft touch and ability to display vibrant prints and details. This material is durable and easy to clean, and is even machine washable. The tightness of the fabric weave and its ability to show small details are two of the factors that contribute to the quality and feel of the mat. Additionally, the material's resistance to wear and tear ensures long-lasting performance, making it an excellent choice.
Question: What is the best printing method for fabric custom mouse pads?
Answer: The optimal printing method for customized fabric mouse pads is dye sublimation, exemplified by products like the 7.625x9.25" Soft Top Best Value Mouse Pads and 8" Round Cloth Mouse Pads. This technique facilitates full-color, enduring designs that are both vibrant and resistant to fading or wear. Dye sublimation infuses the ink directly into the fabric, ensuring long-lasting, high-quality prints. This process accommodates a wide spectrum of colors and intricate designs, making it perfect for custom logos and artwork. With this method, you can achieve professional-grade and durable custom design mousepads. Moreover, with a high ink profile you can guarantee your promotion, brand or logo will stand out and endure over time.
Question: What is the minimum font size recommended for customizable fabric mouse pads?
Answer: For our fabric mouse pads, we recommend a minimum font size of 12pts to account for encroachment. Additionally, we suggest using a sans serif font like Arial rather than a serif font like Times New Roman for better readability and a cleaner appearance.
A very brief explanation, encroachment occurs when you have a light color next to a very dark color, think white text on a black background. We do not print white ink so any elements that are white it is the fabric of the pad showing through. The imprint method we use is dye sublimation where ink is heated until the dye turns to a gas and permanently bonds to the polymer, in this case polyester. During that process some of the dye encroaches slightly on places with no dye, so the black encroaches on the white fabric for about a pixel width.
* If you are a designer we have a couple other notations, we recommend a 1pt stroke on all knock out elements with fine lines. If you do have a significant amount of fine lines and texts on your image that are white on black we recommend at least a 3 pt stroke of 100% black/flat black. The rich process black contains significantly more ink than the flat black and therefore encroaches more than the flat black so the flat black acts as a buffer for the knock out text.
